Bricklayers jobs in Broome

Bricklayers in Broome do the same work as bricklayers anywhere in Australia, but who employs them, and under which licence, is local. Broome's largest employing industries are Accommodation and Food Services, Health Care and Social Assistance and Public Administration and Safety, which shapes both where the work is and how steady it tends to be.

Local market

Who hires bricklayers in Broome

Broome's labour market swings hard with the seasons - Kimberley tourism peaks from May to September and much of it shuts in the wet. Year-round employment sits with the Shire, Broome Health Campus, Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services, Notre Dame's Broome campus, the port and the pearling industry.

Shire of Broome, WA Country Health Service (Broome Health Campus), Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services and The University of Notre Dame Australia (Broome Campus) are among the largest employers in Broome. Most bricklayers here, though, are hired by small and mid-sized businesses rather than by the names everyone recognises — which is why so many local vacancies never reach a big job board.
