Bricklayers jobs in Griffith

Bricklayers in Griffith do the same work as bricklayers anywhere in Australia, but who employs them, and under which licence, is local. Griffith's largest employing industries are Manufacturing, Health care and social assistance and Retail trade, which shapes both where the work is and how steady it tends to be.

Local market

Who hires bricklayers in Griffith

Manufacturing takes about 21% of jobs, roughly double the NSW average, because the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area feeds Casella Family Brands' Yellow Tail winery, De Bortoli at Bilbul and JBS's meatworks. Horticulture creates heavy seasonal labour demand and a long-established migrant workforce, and Griffith Base Hospital serves the wider Murrumbidgee district.

Casella Family Brands, De Bortoli Wines, JBS Australia and Murrumbidgee Local Health District are among the largest employers in Griffith. Most bricklayers here, though, are hired by small and mid-sized businesses rather than by the names everyone recognises — which is why so many local vacancies never reach a big job board.
