If you are a Valont customer, the Valont platform and our services are provided under our Terms of Service (Master Services Agreement) and your Subscription or Service Schedule. If those documents and these terms conflict, those documents apply.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the website.

When using the website, you must:

2.1 use it lawfully and in line with these terms;

2.2 give accurate information when you fill in a form, use a tool or apply for a job;

2.3 not submit anyone else's personal information unless you are authorised to;

2.4 not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or our systems, interfere with how they work, or introduce malicious code; and

2.5 not use the website, including Ask Valont, to send spam, or content that is unlawful, misleading or offensive.

If you breach these terms, we may suspend or block your access to the website or to particular features, such as Ask Valont or the job board.

We provide free tools, calculators and the Business Health Check for general information only. They:

3.1 are based on the information you enter and general assumptions, and may not reflect your circumstances;

3.2 are not accounting, legal, financial, tax, payroll or other professional advice; and

3.3 do not create a client relationship or a duty of care.

Check results with a qualified professional before relying or acting on them. Some tools ask for your email before showing results. How we use it is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Ask Valont is an AI assistant that answers questions using information published on our website. Its answers are general information, not advice. They may be incomplete or wrong, and they do not take your circumstances into account. Do not enter sensitive personal information, passwords or financial account details. Conversations are stored as described in our Privacy Policy.

Our insights, guides and white papers are general information current at the date of publication. Laws, rates and thresholds change, so check that information is still current and get advice for your situation before acting on it.

6.1 We publish roles on behalf of the businesses that are hiring. Unless a listing says otherwise, Valont is not the employer, and hiring decisions are made by the hiring business.

6.2 By applying, you confirm that the information in your application and CV is true and that you are entitled to share it.

6.3 Applications may be assessed with the help of automated tools, including AI interviews, as described in our Privacy Policy. AI interviews record your audio, video and a transcript, which are shared with the hiring business. Your browser asks for camera and microphone permission before the interview starts.

6.4 We do not guarantee that any application will lead to an interview or job offer. Listings may be changed or removed at any time.

6.5 You can choose whether to be considered for roles at other businesses on our platform, and change your choice or delete your profile at any time using your profile management link. Keep that link private, because anyone who has it can manage your profile.

The website and its content, including text, graphics, logos, tools and software, are owned by Valont or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws.

You may view, download and print website content for your own information or internal business use. You may share links to our pages. You may not otherwise copy, republish, sell or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

You keep ownership of information you submit through the website. You give us permission to use it to respond to you and to provide the tool, guide or service you asked for, as described in our Privacy Policy.

The website may link to other websites, such as government resources. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

9.1 Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.

9.2 Except as required by law, the website and its free features are provided "as is". We do not warrant that the website will be available, uninterrupted, error-free or free from harmful components.

9.3 To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website, its tools or content.

9.4 Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.

9.5 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Each version of these terms carries a version number and effective date. We may update them from time to time by publishing a new version on this page. Changes apply from the effective date shown and do not affect anything that happened before it.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

If a dispute arises, please contact us first at hello@valont.com.au so we can try to resolve it before either of us takes legal action.

If any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down or severed to the extent necessary, and the rest continues in force. If we do not enforce a right under these terms, that does not waive it.
